Mount Legnone
For the ones who love to hike, at the top of the Mount Legnone you can enjoy a breathtaking view!
The mount Legnone is the highest in the Lecco province and of the western side of the Orobie Alps. The summit of this mount is so high that, in a clear day, it can be seen from Milano and the Brianza area. There are many trails that lead to the top of the Legnone, but from Colico the best option is to start from the refuge Alpe Scoggione and walk through the south-east ridge. Along the ridge’s path there are still some remains of thrences built during the First World War.
At the top of the Mount Legnone it is possible to see the summits of the Lepontine, the Retiche and the Orobie, as well as the entire Como Lake and the Mount Rosa. Just be careful to plan your trip on a clear day!
