The San Marco Pass is a pass linking the Val Brambana and Valtellina.            A popular destination for many cyclist who love mountain roads,it allows you to immerse yourself in nature and history. Built by the Republic of Venice, its purpose was to improve trade with the Swiss valleys.

How to get there?

You start at the Colico railway station and take the Valtellina parth to Morbegno and then follow the Via Priula parths for about 5 kilometres,continue along the provincial road to Albaredo, which is the penultimate stage before reaching the San Marco Pass.

2)Sentiero Valtellina from Colico to Morbegno

(route duration approx. 5 hours) with departure from Colico train station->low difficulty recommended for all.

The Sentiero Valtellina (Valtellina Path) is a cycle-pedestrian itinerary that runs along the River Adda,linking the town of Colico with the picturesque Bormio. It is a simple route suitable for everyone and allows you to admire the fantastic landscape of the Valtellina. It is advisable to tackle the route with a mountain bike or E-bike as the frequent ups and downs and the dirt road surface often require attention and considerable physical effort.

How to get there?

We leave from the Colico train station,passing the first few kilometres of the route in the Pian di Spagna nature reserve,almost immediately reaching the Adda river as we continue into Valtellina.Where we pass through Traona, and then arrive at our point of arrival, Morbegno.

3)From Colico to Chiavenna along the Valtellina trail

The Valchiavenna cycle path is a route along the valley floor from Colico to Villa di Chiavenna,the last village before the Swiss border.The route is 40 km long,suitable for everyone and any type of bicycle.It starts in Colico,passing through the Pian di Spagna Nature Reserve,climbs the Valchiavenna,passing the Acquafraggia waterfalls,and reaches the Swiss border.
