Sentiero del Viandante
There isn’t better way to enjoy the lake view than leaving your car and start walking
The Sentiero del Viandante is an ancient mule track along the eastern side of the Como Lake. It starts in Abbadia Lariana, near the deconsecrated Church of San Martino, and it ends at the Madonna di Valpozzo Sanctuary in Piantedo. The path is 40 km long and it is marked by orange signs. It takes 18 hours to complete it, so many excursionists decide to do only some parts of it. In fact, it is possible to devide the track in 4 parts, each of them is linked with the railway line so that it is possible to go back to the starting point by train. The Sentiero del Viandante is quite an easy path, it can be done by the less trained and it is suitable also for families with children. Along the entire walk, the view over the lake is breathtaking.
