Forte Montecchio Nord

Baia di Piona

The Bay of Piona is a short walk from Colico (Discover the beach).
You will find yourself surrounded by greenery and if you love to take pictures in the nature this is the ideal place.
Easily reachable both on foot and by bike along Via dei Ciacc., the beach of Piona will surprise you with its shades of intense green mixed with the blue of the lake and the sky.

Lakeside at Sunset

There is nothing more beautiful than a walk at sunset by the lake. And what better opportunity to bring home beautiful photos with the colors of the twilight lights. We recommend the walk from Ontano to Lido, but the whole lake offers interesting views at sunset.

PRO TIP a small tripod, also to keep in your purse, when you shoot in the evening can make the difference.

From the top of Fontanedo Tower

If you are a fan of panoramic photography we suggest you climb up to Fontanedo.

From the top of the tower you could enjoy a breathtaking view of our fantastic lake.

Another perfect location in the shadow of Legnone.

The medieval village of Fontanedo can be reached on foot from Colico via Villatico after a 40-minute walk.
Otherwise you can approach it by car shortening the path to do on foot.

Photographic Shot from the lake

Did you know that in Colico you can rent boats and inflatables even without a boat license?

If you don‘t feel like sailing, you can book your speedboat trip with one of the many taxi-boat services.

Otherwise, hydrofoils and boats that carry out public transport service on Lake Como leave from the pier every day.

Each of these means will give you the opportunity to create original images from the center of the Lake.

PRO TIP: It does not matter if you are on a boat, inflatable or hydrofoil. If you‘re taking pictures from the water, always have your camera around your neck or strap on your wrist to secure your smartphone.
