The Legnoncino
Monte Legnoncino, the “youngest son” of Monte Legnone, can be reached with a beautiful excursion during which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Como and the Alps. Along the way you will see closely the remains of the defensive system “Linea Cadorna”: military roads, observatories and fortifications legacy of the First World War fortunately never fought in these places.
From Roccoli Lorla we proceed on the mule track which leads to a small balcony overlooking the lake in front of Monte Legnone. The gaze here is attracted by a white, large mountain group, heading north-west: it is Monte Rosa.
On the way back, the eye falls on the great pyramid of Monte Legnone and on the summit cross that can be seen on clear days.
